A short evaluation on the PhD days:
In total we had 120 participants. 
In a nutshell the programme consisted of keynote lectures by Prof. Keith Murai (Astrocytes and Brain Circuit Microenvironments), Prof. Frank Hertel (Clinical Neuroscience), Dr. Ali Jahanshahi (Deep Brain stimulation in Mood Disorders) and Dr. Mariana Cerdeira & Dr. Katarina Ebert (From PhD to Pharma consulting); Interdisciplinary workshops, amongst others by Dr. Ehsan Pishva (Approaches for (multi-omics) big data analysis and Prof. Arjan Blokland (How does my research leads to treatments in patients?); 14 PhD talks, poster presentations, networking. get together and dinner. 

The award winners of 2019 are:
Melissa Schepers (UHasselt) 1st award for best oral presentation with her talk on “Phosphodiesterase 4D inhibition boosts remyelination in multiple sclerosis” ; the 2nd oral presentation award was for Yolanda Pires-Afonso, ULuxembourg on “Dissecting tumour-associated microglia/macrophage immune responses in Glioblastoma”. The poster prizes were for two persons sharing the award (equal points):  Jennifer Modamio Chamarro and Sonja Fixemer.

The next EURON PhD days will be organized in January 2021 in Hasselt, Belgium!
